I am related to Caples from Lufkin. Myrtle Opal Caples Bentley was the daughter of Richard Caples (Apr 27,1872 - Apr 5, 1956) & Dora Jane McCreary (Jan 29,1883 - Oct 11, 1925). Richard's parents were Harmon Carolinus Caples (Mar 1854 - aft 1910) & Caroline Unknown (b. 1852). Dora Jane was the daughter of George W. McCreary (May 1, 1845 - Mar 1, 1904) and Gabriella Reynolds (Nov 7, 1857 -Nov 30, 1915, buried in White House Cemetary, Lufkin). I have more info on Caples, McCreary's & Reynolds. I believe Mrytle had 14 children (George Hulon, Jessie Merl, James Lamar,Edward Dwayne,Opal Pearl,Anthony Wayne,Katie Mae,Kenneth,Bobby Keith,Gerald Don,Barbara Sue,David Earl,Judy Darlene,Joyce Marie).
Harmon Carolinus Caples had a brother named Richard Henry Caples, who was my GGGrandfather. Gabriella was my GGGrandmother. I have a pics of Gabriella and family, G. W. McCreary and others. Please email me at scates_49@yahoo.com.
