He was son of Jacob Caples, or, I am told, the spelling was Kaupfel or something like that. Jacob came from Westphalia, Germany. I have no further research on him.William married Mary Elizabeth Green and their children were: Robert G., Charles, William, Mary(who married Phillip Laffer), Joseph, Ann, Susan, Kinzie, Jacob, and Elizabeth. My connection is through Robert G., and, I am sure there is some connection. We'll have to work on it!
