Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
A quick shout out to my cousins on this site. Lots of old posts from 2nd and 3rd cousins. Does anyone still hang out here?
I haven't had contact with many of the cousins in decades, but my great-grandfather is Edward Theodore Rigby Capener, born in Centerville, Utah in 1876, the son of William Capener and Ellen Rigby. I now live in Wisconsin, about 2 hours from Baraboo, where William Capener's brother John Capener settled in the late 1830's.
My interest is particularly drawn to several dated posts from Robert C. Capener (is this the Bob Capener who played basketball at BYU?), in which he refers to the Capener site on myfamily.com. I tried to e-mail Bob, but the addy is no good. Does anyone know how to get hold of him or the data he refers to on the myfamily.com site? I'd love any info on Capeners in US or UK, whether from that source or any other. I would also be willing to share what info I have, or help gather data on any Capeners in Wisconsin.
