Henry Richard Capener (+ others?) sojourn in Scotland?

Hi there! I am another ex-Capener. My father, Henry Capener, was born in Scotland in 1927 and his father was Henry Richard Capener (a journeyman engine fitter, according to the birth certificate). Despite my best on-line efforts, I can find only one HRCapener in Scotland, who died in 1951. I assume that he must be my grandfather but, as my own father died over 20 years ago, I have no way of confirming this without going to Scotland.

I do remember my father saying he thought the Capeners had moved north from Gloucester, having arrived in England after escaping from France with the Huguenots. Can anyone cast any light on this? Grateful for even the smallest crumb of information! - Susan
