I see. For the most part, those who came from the area of Clonakilty would not be connected to the Drimoleague families (civil parish of Dromdaleague). I have checked my notes and found that I copied this birth for Ellen when I was using a FHC film. When I look for a record, I copy others that are from the general area I am researching - if they have names I am researching. It looks as if this family came from Knockboy. I think that is closer to the Macroom area than it is to Clonakilty or Drimoleague. So this family is probably not connected to your family or to my family. There are not that many Cantys in the West Cork Area. Jan
