The only Canty I know in Texas is Chris Canty, who plays for the Dallas Cowboys - but probably not what you're looking for. People have told me about Canty's living in Alabama (?) and wanted to know if I was related to them - not Texas but could be a lead for you. A good resource on this board is Greg Canty, he is one of my relatives and has done a ton of research that might help you : ) Good luck and thanks for the info about the pub - I will have to check it out. The word 'Canty' in Gaelic means 'happy'.
