My GG grandmother was Mary (nee Dacy) Canty. Her husband, Timothy Canty, died before she immgrated to Boston about 1872. According to her death certificate she lived at 262 4th St in South Boston and her husband was Timothy Canty. The 1880 US census has Mary Canty living at 262 4th St in South Boston with her son, Michael, and daughter, Annie. Mary Canty is buried at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Roslindale, MA, along with her son Daniel, his wife Catherine, their children John and Mary, her son James, her son Timothy and his wife Ellen, and her granddaughter, Mary (Molly)and grandson John. I have a copy of the death certificate for James Canty citing Mary and Timothy as his parents. I also have a copy of the death certificate for Timothy Canty city Mary and Timothy as his parents. Would be interested in sharing information you have for Mary Canty, Catherine Canty, Timothy Canty, Michael Canty, and Annie Canty.
