You said you are looking for information on your canty this maybe a conindience but Susan Ellen Canty married Benjamin F. Maddux in Tallapoosa County she named her Daughter Deddie Maddox. Have you ever heard of Susan Ellen Canty as being part of your canty family? I appericate the message about the 1870 Lowndes County Census. I am sure this is my husband great grand mother. You were asking about Indian my father in law told me they were Part Indian. I am still looking for proff of the fact.
