I am looking for the ancestors of James N. Cantey of Lowndes County, Alabama, who was listed on the 1850 Fed. census with his wife Susan and children. James' grand-daughter Stella was my husband's grandmother. I have not been able to connect him with his South Carolina kin! thanks, V. Alexander
