Sorry to take so lon getting back to you. I have not been keeping up with the forums lately.
I don't think ther is a mathc here for you but the info I have is included...
John Canty (1829-7/30?/1905) m. Bridget Hirston (??/1850-8/03/1913) abt.1870.
John & Bridget were born in Ireland. Bridget immigrated to US in 1865 (abt age 15)..???
John was a RR man, living at 2128a Butterfield, (4th Ward) when son James M.was born in 1874.
John was buried in Calvery 8/3/1905, Moved to Mt Carmel 10/1913 (Lot 11, Blk 7, Sec11).
Bridget died 8/3/13 (rec id 3182) and was buried at Mt. Carmel on 8/7/1913.
Bridget (wid John) Canty is in the 1910 Chi. directory at 2828 S. Lowe...
John & Bridget had 9 children, 7 of whom were living in 1910 (Re Census).
Six children living at home, were born in IL per 1910 census, dated April 23rd

1910 census lists Theresa, age 18 (b1891/2?), single - steno, daughter of Bridget.
Thomas (1889)
1910 census lists Thomas, age 21 (b1888/9?), single as son of Bridget.
Catherine (1884)
1910 census lists Catherine,, age 26 (b1883/4?), daughter of Bridget.
Joseph J. (1878)
Jos. J. lab 2828 S Lowe av. (1910 Chi Dir)
1910 census lists Joseph, age 32 (b1877/8?), single - clerk, son of Bridget.
John E. (1876)
John E. lab 2828 S Lowe av. (1910 Chi Dir)
1910 census lists John E age 34 (b1875/6?), single - clerk, son of Bridget.
James M (1874-5/28?/1913)
James M. Canty (teamster), listed in 1910 Chi. directory as living at 2828 S Lowe.
1910 census lists James M, age 36 (b1873/4?), as son of Bridget, single - clerk.
James died at age 38 and is burried in the family plot at Mt Carmel.
