I believe I can help you with your Canteys. Many of our side lived with the Nettles in the Clarendon/Williamsburg Counties in SC. I know of one who married a Nettles. Our Canteys go back to 1670 in Charleston, SC and came from Barbadoes on a ship called the Carolina. They were very active settlers and friends of both Francis Marion and Thomas Sumter. It's a really interesting history. I will look up your family. Please contact me at my e-mail. Darlene Cantey
