I was born in Brownsville, Tx. also. My name is Rosa Ramirez (maiden name Cantu). My parents are Gilberto Cantu and Manuela Medrano. The name that struck me in your ltr. is the one of Concha Rodriguez. My husband has an aunt in Rio Bravo, Tamps. whose name is Conchita Rodriguez (born in 1925). She is very secretive about her place of birth but she has a sister or brother in California. We think she is a US citizen but are not sure. They come to visit her with their grown kids. Conchita married Rafael Pacheco (deceased) and is still living in Rio Bravo. If I go see her, what would you like me to ask her? If you don't think she the one, no harm done.
