Dear Jeremy -
I too am searching for the 'Cantu' side of my family. My mother told me that many many years ago our Spaniard relative 'Cantu' married a French woman (remember Napoleon) in Mexico. Each belonged to their respective settled French and Spanish colonies in Mexico. Does that in any way sound familiar to you or your family? Most currently, this side of my family resides in Caderrayta, Nuevo Leon.
