Hi ! I did eventually find the parentage of Joseph Cantara. You are right , his brother is who you mentioned in Detroit Michigan. My Joseph did marry a Louise ? and they had Marie Louise Cantara who married Charles Harel. They had Marguerite Harel who married Peter Hopkins Hunt.
One , the wife of this Joseph Cantara is a mystery. And , the Charles Harel who married Marguerite seems to have been married to someone else as well and I have not been able to confirm the marriage. I really should send in the names and dates . Will do it soon ! Thanks so much for your attention ! Susan
