Can anyone tell me who the wife of George CANON is? Who is his 1st wife?
In the 1880 Census, George's wife is listed as Perlina F. Also listed is a step-son, Charles R. Mitchell. I assume that the wife, Perlina F. was first married to a MITCHELL.
In addition, next door in the 1880 Census, Brightwater Twp., Dist. #13, Benton County, Arkansas, lives a John SNODERLY. This John has a sister named Perlina. Does anyone know if this Perlina is the sister of John William SNODERLY?
In the 1880 Census, John SNODERLY is 25 years old. George CANON is 43, and Perlina is 30.
I hesitate to assume that this Perlina has the maiden name of SNODERLY but it does seem logical since the SNODERLYs and the MITCHELLs married into each family. For instance, the mother of John & his sister named Perlina is Elizabeth "Betsy" (MITCHELL) SNODERLY, wife of Henry SNODERLY Jr.
Coincedentally, John SNODERLY has a brother named Charles SNODERLY who was born the same year (abt. 1859) as Charles R. MITCHELL.
Does anyone know the actual mother of Charles R. MITCHELL and who is his father?
Is this Perlina F. & John William SNODERLY a brother and sister?
