In response to your posting of December 30, 2004, I am sorry to say I have been unable to trace my Cannon ancestors prior to Thomas Cannon born Abt. 1755. The connection of Thomas to Moses Cannon of Harford County, MD. is unprovable, but factually there is a Thomas Cannon listed as an heir of Moses. See the will I provided to Jason Cannon for his home page: <http://www.jasoncannon.org/>
Information, prior to discovering Moses Cannon's will, my mother's records indicated a Moses Cannon was Thomas' father and probably of Scottish origin.

I have John Cannon, son of Thomas Cannon, born: Abt. 1787 at Washington County, Pennsylvania died: May 27, 1825 at Middelsex, Shenango Township, Mercer Co. PA. He was married to Jane McFarland. I have no data for Jane nor children they may have had. Was your John Cannon married to Jane? If so, this would be the proof of our relationship.

Thomas Cannon, son of John Cannon, I do not have his name in my files. (See above).

If you find a connection, I shall be happy to exchange info with you.
