Just FYI....I dug through my Canon notebook, hoping to find any mention of Canon in Chester county (especially E. Nottingham.)

I found from the Pennsylvania Archives books:

V11 Pg 75:

1765 Chester county, E. Nottingham tax list
Joshua Canon 75 acres, 1 horse, 2 cattle, no sheep

P 300:

1767 Chester county, E. Nottingham tax list
Joshua Canon (laborer) 0 acres, 1 horse, 1 cattle, no sheep

P 430:

1768 Chester county, E. Nottingham tax list
Joshua Canon

-----

Wonder if this would be a father or a brother or our John? John named one of his sons, Joshua.
