Ella

William Alexander Canon's great grandfather was John Canon, Sr. and we think that his great grandmother was Martha Addison, not Martha Alexander as the Mormon records show. John Canon, Sr. was my maternal gggggrandfather. I've just been given some detailed notes on grandchildren of John Canon, Sr. who emigrated to TN at about the same time that my gggrandfather and a brother and sister emigrated to Marshall County, MS. My gggrandfather Alfred Orville Canon was in Marshall County as early as April, 1837 as shown by the notes of the organizational meeting for the founding of the College Hill Presbyterian Church held at College Hill, MS on that date and printed in the history of Lafayette County, MS.

Family Tree Maker syas that William Alexander Canon was my second cousin three times removed.
