I've just started family research on my husband's family. Great-grandparents were Amos Byrd Canon & Amanda Clarissie (Bragg) Canon. Amos was born 6-4-1839 and died 2-3-1924. Amanda was born 1838 and died 1-14-1892. I do not know where they were born or where they died, but possibly Oklahoma or Texas. Any help will be appreciated. I'm new to this and do not know how to start.
