The John Canon who was married to Martha Alexander was born 2-16-1729 in Harford County Maryland to James Canon and Mary Boren. James was born in Baltimore, MD c1695 to William Canon and Mary Willing. William being a son of Thomas Canon, b. c1640, England who came to Maryland in 1663, having been transported in that year by Andrew Cook, a merchant.
