Maria Cano February 2004
Maria Socorro Cano, 73, of Indio died Feb. 17, 2004, in Rancho Mirage of natural causes. She was born May 4, 1930, to Margarito and Andrea Gutierrez Romo in Tlacuitapa, Jalisco, Mexico.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by three daughters, Dolores Zepeda and Guadalupe Cano of Indio and Andrea Cano of Washington; five sons, Felipe, Jose R. and Enrique Cano of Indio, and Francisco Cano and Florentino Cano Jr. of Coachella; 23 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include his sister, Maria De Jesus Romo of Mexico; and his brother, Reyes Romo of Mexico.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. at FitzHenry Funeral Home in Indio.A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Indio.Burial will be at Coachella Valley Cemetery under the direction of FitzHenry Funeral Home Desert Chapel in Coachella.
