Sure it was Bernado? Could it have been Bernabe?

Reason I ask is that I am from a line that came from Dr. Arroyo, Nuevo Leon. It is located at the southern tip of Nuevo Leon, east of Matehaula. My great-great grandfather was Alejo Cano who had several sons; one of whom was Bernabe. My great-grandfather Ursulo, immigrated to the US in 1893. Alejo's origins are still obscure.
