Susannah, may be daughter of Benjamin Cannon & Susannah Walters, 1700s
I believe that Susannah, wife of Gilbert Elam who died in Chesterfield Co., VA, in 1784, was the daughter of Benjamin Cannon and Susannah Walters of Henrico, Cumberland, and Prince Edward counties, Virginia, because 6 out of 7 names of Susannah’s children are names found in Benjamin Cannon & Susannah Walters’s family (not counting Robert Elam).
Benjamin and Susannah had two known children, Jeremiah Cannon (who died in Goochland Co., VA, in 1767) and Francinia (who married William Cox in Cumberland Co. on 27 May 1768).(I wonder if the name of Susannah Elam's son, William Cannon Elam, could be the name of Benjamin Cannon's father, that is, William Cannon.)
