I am looking for the parents of John Cannon born in NY (probably NYC) about Nov 26 1809 to Michael & Ann Cannon. He married Cornelia Devine dau of James & Mary (Rice) Devine of NYC. John and Cornelia removed to Boston (Cambridge)before 1832. John was a glass cutter.
I have found a Michael Cannon b: 1790 & wife Ann b:1794 on the 1850 Census in Ward 17 NYC with sons Thomas b:1834 & Mathew b: 1836. Michael was a mason. I'm not sure if this is my Michael & Ann or not. That's what I'm trying to figure out.
There is also a note probably for this Michael in:
Longworth's American Almanac, New-York Register, and City Directory Michael Cannon, Event: Lived, Year: 1835, Place: New York City, County: New York Province: New York, Comments: Mason
Any help ruling in or out this family would be great. Thanks!
