Cecilie, Thank you so much for posting the info on Eleanor's parents. I have been searching for her family for years. She was my ggggrandmother. At the time Mr. Cannon sold that land to Abraham, he and Eleanor had been married for about 2 years and had one child, Louisa. I didn't know he was still in Habersham Co. in 1831 because I couldn't find him in the 1830 Habersham census. Good to know. The Tate Family (John, Phebe & children) were also in Greenville Co. SC at the same time as the Cannon's, so they may have known each other there. The Tate's moved to Habersham Co. before 1820, as John is in the 1820 census there. Do you happen to have any of the names of Eleanor's siblings? One of Abraham's brothers married Rachael Kennon, but one of her descendants thinks her name was actually Cannon. He thinks she may have been Eleanor's sister, or at least a cousin. I have seen the name Cannon spelled Kennon/Kannon on several occasions. Any info you would care to share on Eleanor's family would be greatly appreciated, as I don't have anything on her. Thanks again, Luan Alaniz Notify Administrator about this message?
