Mary CANNADY mother of Ambrose WOODARD

Seeking information regarding the family of Mary CANNADY b. ca. 1785 possibly Emmanuel Co., GA. She married Mills WOODARD and together they ran an Inn on the stagecoach road through Emmanuel Co. Mary and Mills had several children all b. Emmanuel Co., GA. Supposedly Mills d. 1825, however Ambrose WOODARD was b. 14 July 1729 so not sure if this was correct or not. It is possible that Mary had him after her husband's death and that Ambrose was illegitimate. This has been difficult and confusing to research. Any assistance would be appreciated!
