My source for the marriage of Patience Kenneday and Thomas Burton is:
The Heritage Of Randolph County, NC Volume 1 - 1993, Page 330, Family 341:
Sherwood Cannaday, Sr. was born 10/14/1760, in Halifax Co. NC. He married three times: (1) Sarah Coggin (2) Rebecca Conner (3) Mary Nuget 6/7/1840. He fathered eleven children: John Kenneday married 11/12/1813 "Maray Daniel", died 1822. Levina Kennedy, b. 4/17/1792, married Bazel Burton. Patience Kenneday married 12/31/1808 Thomas Burton. Rebecca Kenneday---nothing further is known about her. Sarah Kenneday married 12/16/1871{date?] Benjamin Green.
Ann Kenneday married Benjamin Leonard. William Kenneday, b. 10/17/1802 married Elizabeth (family surname unknown), died 10/27/1844. Aletha Kenneday, b. 4/14/1804, married Jesse Jones. Sherwood Kenneday, Jr. married Phebe Wilson, died after 1850. Elizabeth Kenneday married 9/20/1821 William Kenneday, Jr. Burrell Kenneday, b. 12/6/1809 m. 1 Elizabeth B. Veach, m.2 Rachel Charles, died 2/20/1874.

Some NC libraries have a small index card file size on micro film of NC Marriage Bonds indexed by male and female surnames. The public library in New Bern, NC had one of these. I have not searched for this reputed marriage bond but perhaps it is listed there.

Sherwood Kennedy Will - I have not seen it posted on the I-Net. I received it via email from another researcher as follows below. From another source it is found as follows: Davidson County, NC Will Summaries, Vol. 1 1823-1846, page 80, 1: 363 Sherwood Kenneday, 31 Dec. 1840, Prob. May 1841.
