Buckinghamshire, England
Posted by: Harold V. Cannaday, II Date: September 12, 2001 at 15:25:22

It is my understanding that the Cannaday family came to America before American Revolution and settled in Buckingham County, Virginia for the most part. Then a James Cannaday who fought with Gen. Greene moved his wife Elizabeth Raikes Cannaday and children Mary, William, James N.Jr., John, David, Charles, and Pleasant to Franklin County, Virginia. His son William became the chief land owner and named the Long Branch District of Franklin County "Endicott". I'm requesting for information on all children from James I. William Cannaday Sr. better known as "Patrick Billy" was born in 1772 in Patrick County, Virginia which conflicts with the Cannaday fleeing Buckingham County, Virginia. All information is welcomed. Thank you !!!!

Any information about Buckinghamshire, England is deeply needed !
