I am not sure about the relationship. Amos lived between the 1880' and the 1940's so probably served in the Virginia State House in the early 1900's. Not sure about Franklin County connection, but the Amos Cannadays moved to Pulaski, Va. in the early 1920's.
His father or grandfather first moved into a log cabin near the Blue Ridge Parkway. Then, sometime later the family moved to Floyd Co. where the Harris-Cannaday School was developed
