It's amazing that the Cann family has so many John's and William's. Or is it that England, per se, has a lot of them? Your listing is the first that has had ANY connection to my family. My great grandfather did a genealogy back to Abraham Cann who was born in 1726 in Britol England. He had a son named John B. Cann who was born in 1757. The information gets a bit sketchy here because my info was typed and then corrected by hand. Abraham was definitely born in Bristol. John was born either there or Port Rush Ireland. In any case, Abraham took John and his brother, Charles, to Pennsylvania. Abraham died in 1773 in Doylestown PA. The family moved to Newark New Jersey and John was in the Revolutionary War.
Does any of this fit? I have a lot more if it does.....Sherri
