Hello Bob:

I am from Abbeville SC. I was born there in 1940 and lived there until 1955. My father, James Campbell, who died in 2000, always told me that former Abbeville Sheriff Cann was his cousin, and that we were related to the Cann family. I don't know how he was related to the Cann family, but I do know that the Campbell and Cann family roots go back to the Nation. Unfortunately, all of my Campbell aunts and uncles are now deceased, so I don't have them to ask about our ties to the Cann Family. I thought I would give you my two cents worth, and wish you much luck in your ancestorial search.
