Hello Ilean I'm Josep Caņellas from Mallorca (Spain) in this island of the Mediterranean sea lives a lot of people with this name and in the past century some of them emigrated to Cuba an other countries of America. Mallorca is situated near the catalonian coast and we talk the same language because Mallorca was invaded by the catalonians in the year 1276 commanded by the King Jaume I, one of his knights was a Caņellas and the King gives him a village of the island and the surrounding fields that now is named Santa Maria and most of the Caņellas lives or proceed from there. Excuse my english. Best regards.
