John Cane/ Mary Adams of Wells, Maine
Posted by: Hal Bradley (ID *****6782) Date: July 12, 2002 at 20:09:45

Mary Adams and John Cain published intentions to marry on 18 Aug 1770 in Wells, York, Maine, stating they were both of Wells. They subsequently had two children: Sarah, bpt. 8 Sep 1771, and John, bpt. 18 Jul 1773. John Cain, Sr. died 21 Aug 1816, aged 67, thus born c. 1749. Mary died 30 Oct 1834, aged 88, thus born c. 1746. I believe John Cain is possibly the grandson of Nicholas Cane of York, York, Maine. Does anyone have additional information regarding the parents of either Mary Adams or John Cain? Thank you.
