CANDY, Elmira m. Samuel Larry SMITH on 25 Jan 1899, where? Known children:
1. Sirrisa Ellen SMITH m. Jesse F. BASHAM.
2. Texanna SMITH m. Charles O. STREBEL.
3. Elizabeth SMITH m. _____ STREBEL.
4. Bruce SMITH. Was in World War I, died from cancer. Did he marry?
This couple was most likely from around the Okay, Wagoner, Ft. Gibson or Muskogee area, which is Muskogee & Wagoner County area in present day Oklahoma, would have been Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory at the time of their marriage.
These children are in some way ??niece/cousin?? to my great-great grandmother, and may hold the key to an 18 year blank wall on my family. If anyone knows anything about their possible whereabouts today, or their descendants I'd dearly like to know! My great-aunt who was elderly at the time (now deceased) gave me some of this information but she couldn't recall where they moved to, or if they stayed in the area. This family associated with the FIELDS/ROGERS/WOFFORD families, many whom are buried in the Three Rivers Cemetery, Okay, Wagoner Co., OK.
