I am looking for family of James Kennedy, b.very early 1800's in TN. Was in Weakley Co., TN by 1825-26. Went to Greene Co., Ark. My great-grandmother, Mary Emily Overall Kennedy said the family were Cherokee. My grandmother looked it. Had shovel teeth,my dad does, I do. They pronounced name as Candy. Believe James' father was oneof the Samuel Kennedys.
