Maria Shea Canavan was my great grandmother. She was born about 1853 in Kilkenny, Ireland and died on June 14, 1922 in Middleboro MA. Her father was Nicholas Shea and her mothers name was Mary PurcellHer marriage record lists her as a servant in 1888. The 1900 census shows that she had 6 children by her husband Joseph Canavan, 4 living at the 1900 census.

Her children were Elizbeth Agnes Canavan, Joseph Patrick Canavan, James Edward Canavan, John Thomas Canavan,
Joseph Thomas Canavan, and Mary C. Canavan

I recently acquired an old picture showing (Mary) Maria Shea and her daughter Elizabeth taken around 1910.
