Hi

I'm trying to piece together history of Belville House, 5miles from Coalisland Co Tyrone in the town land of Gortnaglough. At the minute we have very limited information. Belville House was build in the early 1600's, it was owned we think by the Royal School in Dungannon at a stage.
Caption Morris High Sheiff of Tyrone lived in the house in and around 1682, Caption Morris came from Wales along with his wife and brother who was the rev of the Church of Ireland in Clonoe.
We have no information on who lived or owned the house from this date until 1934. If anyone has information on Morris Family or if you know of anyone who lived in the house, please let me know. Also we are very interested in seeing old photos of the house.

Many Thanks for your help

Carmel McCloskey
