Hi:
Trying to find anything on the roots of my ancestor. I have several names for her---India Canovan and Judith Callivan.
She was born about 1756, supposedly in Galway, Ireland. Since Canavan and Canovan are so similar, and I have not had luck finding Callivans, thought this forum may be the one.
Judith/India married around 1774--may have been in Dublin, or may have been in the U.S. She married Samuel Sage, who said he was from Bristol, England.
Samuel and India/Judith immigrated to the U.S. and lived (possibly)in New Jersey, and definitely in Maryland, Virginia, and Ohio. Their known children were: James, Joel, Joseph, Charlotte, and Nancy (possibly Ann Maria).
Would love to hear from anyone who may have some thoughts or information.
