My maiden name is Paula Canales. I am originally from Fresno, California. My father told me a story regarding Benito Canales. He told me that he was my father's great-great uncle, (I may be skipping a generation as well) He said that Benito Canales was the Mexican "Robin Hood" and that he "stoled from the rich...and kept it!"
Also that he had many women and many children.
