Lionel Canales

Lionel Canales, 80, of Huntsville died Monday. Mr. Canales, a veteran of World War II, served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a charter member of Twickenham Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Letha Canales; son, Tony Canales and his wife, Joan, of Huntsville; daughter, Susan Holcomb of Conroe, Texas; grandsons, Christopher Canales and Curtis Holcomb; granddaughters, Susanna Werner, Kathryn Fetner, Rebecca Williams and Erin Holcomb; and great-granddaughter, BreAna Werner. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel with Greg Anderson and Bob Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Hacienda of Hope Orphanage c/o Twickenham Church of Christ, 7500 Whitesburg Drive, Huntsville, AL 35802.
