I've read your very extensive research on the Canales family that was in Cuba. It is not often that I've run into a family group (of the Canales name) from Cuba. My ancestors also ended up in Cuba from Spain. Unfortunately, I've got very limited information. Only what my grandmother could recall before she passed away. In your records, do you happen to have any information regarding a Canales Adan branch? Specifically: I am searching for any information regarding Ramon Canales (and Lorenza Adan) from Valencia, Spain. Ramon died sometime around 1895 in Cuba. He had 6 or 7 children: Ramon, Nicolas, Manuel, Hilario, Juan, Marcos, and Maria. I descend from Nicolas Canales. He fought in the Mambi Army during the War of Independence, and one of his brothers fought on Spain's side. Nicolas married Orosia Diaz and their children were: Isabel Canales Pablo Canales Fidel Canales (died at age 2) Buenaventura Canales Jose Canales Lilia Canales Well, I just wanted to know if you might have any information regarding this branch, and whether or not they are connected to your branch. Thank you. You can respond in either english or spanish. I can read spanish alright, it's just easier for me to write in english. Thanks again, Luisa Notify Administrator about this message?
