Edna is my grandmother (she passed away in January). She could only remember her grandmothers name was Amanda Mariah. Otherwise it was only what she called them! This information means so much to my sister and I. We have been working on a family tree for our children. Thank you!
Do you have any more info on this family line? I can't tell you how I appreciate this information. I do have a funny story about Amanda M. Garrett. My grandmother said that when her grandmother was a little girl the school children would tease her about her name and they would sing, "Amanda Mariah p*ssed in the fiah!" My grandmother would laugh and laugh when she recalled her grandmother telling that story!
