I am researching my maternal genealogy line and am encountering a lot of walls because of the name change. I'm not sure when it took place but my grandma told me we started as Kennedy later to Canada. If you can help, point me in the right direction or contact me. Thanks in advance.
1.James Floyd Canada m. Mary Amyx b ABT 1850. Kids were Sam Howard, James, and James Floyd.
2.James Floyd Canada bABT 1884 dABT1973 m.Sara Evelyn Reed whose sibs were Callie Dalton and Willie Reed. Their kids were Ollie, Cecil, Minnie, Mary, Emma, Doran and JOhn.
3.John Riley Canada b 8/19/1900 died 7/2/1977 Troy, Al married 7/3/1923 Polly Mae Hearld b 10/16/1910, died 9/26/1984. Pollys sibs were Wm Kennerd, James Edward, Mary Ann Ware, Jean Fowee, Nettie Baker, Callie Prince, dora Mae Fields, Flora Vee York, and Vina Kuhn. John and Polly's kids were: Zola Evelyn b1929, Dorothy Jean b1930, Emma Louise b1931, James Cecil J.C. b1934, Nora Christine b1936, John Riley JR b1938, Anna Marie b1940, Frances Lee b1943, 1 stillborn and 3 sons died.
