There is a William Ross, found in the 1880 US census, living in Ash Lake township, Lincoln County, Minnesota. The data says:

On www.interment.net , in the Estevan City Cemetery, Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada, are 16 Ross burials. The eldest is William Ross, b-7/12/1847, d-5/29/1914.
