Hi Lorraine, I don't know Sask . cemeteries but you could try contacting the Saskatchewan genealogical society to see if they have listings. Have you sent for Joseph;s homestead papers? They may have some info. http://www.saskhomesteads.com/ I see there are several Joseph Schneider listed - so I looked at where they were in 1916 and they were township 15,16,17 Range 1,2,3, W 3 Meridian This seems to fit for him. Schneider, Joseph Ludwig NE 26 16 2 W3 There is also a listing for a Louis Schneider and several for Nicholas (various spellings) I see it costs $15.00 for each record. I googled Truax and wikipedia says it now has a population of 12 people, in 1970 it had 70 people. It is considered a hamlet as it does not have enough population to be a village. So I am thinking it may be that it does not have its own cemetery. It also says it is 80 K southwast of Regina and 75K southeast of Moosejaw and is equidistant between Radville and Moosejaw. So I suppose Joseph could be buried in any cemetery within that area. Here is a link to the Saskatchewan Cemeteries Project - lots of cemeteries listed with the transcriptions - maybe you can have some luck there http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cansacem/ Carolyn L Notify Administrator about this message?
