Our other "Gehl" connections are in Preston, Waterloo County. We think Francis may be a half brother to Alvin Addison GEHL who married into my family. Family lore has it that some of them went out to Saskatchewan. Francis lists Jansen, Sask. as his place of residence in 1918. We have a Jansen GEHL also showing the family tree and there is some speculation about the similarity between his name and that of the town.
