Help on where to start

Hello Everyone:

I am at a loss of what to do or where to begin. My friends mother was adopted and I do have her adoption records. Both adopted and birth parents are deceased.

All I have is the following:

Baby born 1932 at the Women's Christian Temperance Union Hospital in Saskatoon.

Birth mothers last name was Fredericks. She was of German ethnic origin and Roman Catholic. She had the baby in question at age 21 and was not wed.

Ms. Fredericks father is noted as being in his early fifties and in 1932 was noted as being in a Mental hospital for the last 11 years (approx 1921), the mother was in her late 40's. There were also 6 boys aged,mid 20's, early 20's, another again noted in his early 20's, Next are the two younger ones age 12 and 10. There was also a sister in her mid teens.

Ms. Fredericks had a child previous to the baby in question, but the baby passed away. No names available.

Ms. Fredericks never told her family of her condition as she claimed they were poor.

I have a copy of the baby's birth certificate, but it holds the adopted last name.

Can someone please advise me on what I need to do? It's a needle in a haystack so to speak.

Thanks so much for your time!
Sincerely;
Cas
