Peter My edition of People Places says the same as what Bette stated, but I also have a copy of "What's in a Name" The story Behind Saskatchewan Place Names by E. T. Russell, in it it states: Leney, the "L" in a series of alphabetical-named stations on the CNR line from Saskatoon to Biggar, is stuated between Kinley and Mead on the north east quarter of section 30-35-11-W3. It was named in honor of a railway official. So, two different versions of where the name came from, sorry couldnt help more. Donna Notify Administrator about this message?
