Can you tell me a little more about Adolph? You mentioned that "La Ronge" was a dit......usually the dit means aka. So his name would have been "something" dit La Ronge. You also mentioned that he was born here in Lac La Ronge. La Ronge is a Cree community, and I suspect by the term "Chippewa" that you must be American. The term Chippewa refers to the Anishnabe Nation, as they prefer to call themselves. They are also known in Canada as Ojibwe/Ojibway/ and Saulteaux (Plains Ojibwe). There are no Anishnabe communities near La Ronge, although some Anishnabe Hudson's Bay Company servants worked in this area. I would suspect that if Adolph's wife was Anishnabe, she was probably from the east, i.e. Ontario, Michigan etc. Goki is a name I haven't seen anywhere, but Gauthier is a common Metis Fur Trade name.
Have you checked with the Hudson's Bay Archives? If he was in La Ronge during that period the only place a white person would be found would be at the HBC, Northwest Company (which amalgamated with the HBC in 1820) or the Revillon Freres, another independent trading company from Montreal.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
John Leclair
