Hi......La Ronge was settled by the Hudson's Bay Company as an outpost to Ile a la Crosse in the 18th and 19th centuries. The name "La Ronge" is a french term meaning "where the beaver chewed". I have a lot of history on this area and would be happy to share it with anyone.
Regards,
John Leclair
